Group Opportunities
SuperThrift Outlet - (available on Saturdays from 9:00-12:00) Partner group members one on one with residents from the Recovery Program as they work a regular job in Alabama's largest thrift store. Group members will have an inside look at the world of recovery as they interact personally with a recovering addict.
Seasonal Opportunities - Serve as a volunteer with seasonal events such as Birdie's for Charity at Regions Classic, Arbor Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Lead a DRIVE - Serve as a collection group to oversee, promote, and collect a number of needed items for The Foundry. Sample drives include; socks & underwear, paper products, cleaning supplies, food and personal hygiene items.
Friday Night Women's Events - (women only) Sponsor a game, movie or worship night at The Cup. Invest in the lives of more than 30 female recovery residents while sharing the love of God in a real way.
Prayer Groups and Prayer Walks - Form and lead prayer groups that specifically pray for the residents and staff of The Foundry on a weekly basis. Attend chapel services and special events as a prayer covering or join a prayer walk around The Foundry campus. A map including prayer stops and needs will be provided.
Meals - (Saturday and Sunday only) Prepare and serve a hot meal for men and women residents on Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon. Lunch can also be served at The SuperThrift Outlet on Saturday's.
Care Kits - Prepare individual Care Kits for incoming residents. Supply all of the basic hygiene necessities for new residents to receive at intake.
Dessert Parties - (Thursday evenings after Chapel) Provide a festive atmosphere and a sweet treat for residents after an evening of worship. Invest in more than 235 men and women through personal conversation and by sharing life.
Operation Restoration - Serve as a part of a large team as we tackle work projects in the surrounding community. Spend a weekend giving back by painting, doing yard work, and light construction projects for a neighbor in need.
Short Term Missions - The Foundry will customize a weekend experience for groups of all ages and sizes. This is a great way to spend a Missions Retreat Weekend or as an element to a Disciple Now weekend.
Meltdown - Once a quarter, gather for an incredible teenage worship night. Provide drama, music, prayer partners or simply join in for a great worship experience.
